In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 business apps on iOS in Kenya demonstrated varied performance trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at how each app performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Business saw consistent weekly downloads, hovering around 900 to 1,000 throughout the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase, starting from approximately 13.3K in late September and reaching around 15K by the end of December.

Zoom Workplace experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads, starting at 1K in late September and dropping to around 640 by the end of December. Active user numbers fluctuated, peaking at roughly 12.5K in late October before declining to about 10.4K in late December.

Microsoft Teams had a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, beginning at 664 in late September and falling to 196 by the end of December. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting from 4.7K and decreasing to approximately 3.6K over the same period.

Google Meet (original) maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, averaging around 500 in the early part of the quarter and dropping slightly to around 260 by late December. Active users remained steady at around 3.3K but saw a minor dip to approximately 2.9K towards the end of the quarter.

The app also generated consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $3K in late November. Active users steadily increased from around 15.2K in late September to roughly 17K by the end of December.
